Hôtel du Port

On the lake side, our location offers a unique sightseeing. The charm of a small hotel with all modern comfort. Run by the Nicolier family for 40 years and well known for its cooking.

After complete renovation, which ended in spring 2001, the hotel, with 22 rooms including 2 junior suites, offers all modern comfort for a business or leisure stay.

With this revival, the Nicolier family, running the hotel since 1962, will be able to offer a well-known restaurant and a very nice hotel.

By the lake side, at 500 meters from the Olympic Museum, 7 minutes from the town centre or the railway station, you enjoy a unique scenery in a ideal location. A large underground public parking is located 150 meters from our hotel and public transportation are close by.

Junior suites: located on the third floor, offering a magnificient view on the lake and Alps, you dispose of 30 m2 with a living room. Possibility to lodge 3 or 4 persons.

Twin-bedded rooms: located south with continually changing sight of our "lac LĂ©man" or north to benefit from the tranquillity, our rooms are spacious, 20 m2 and provide a modern lay-out,which we have wanted warm.

We also propose 6 rooms with "french" bed, 4 of them facing the lake.

Comfort: all rooms with bath or shower, W-C, hair-dryer, cable TV, phone, modem plug, safe. In place of mini-bar we propose a room service. No-smoking rooms and rooms for handicapped people are available.

THE RESTAURANT

A traditional cuisine, lovingly cooked with quality products has made our restaurant a famous address in Lausanne.

Salade du pĂȘcheur (mussels, surimi, shrimps, salmon). Home-made gravadlachs. Salade gourmande (duck liver, scampi, smoked duck). Lamb filet with thyme sauce. Perch filets fried in butter with lemon sauce. Mussels "Le Port". Gratin of scampi. Beef filet Stroganoff. Grilled beef filet. Minced veal with morel mushrooms. And following the seasons, in winter time typical food: Papet vaudois, boudin aux oignons, jarret de porc, choucroute, and in summer big choice of salads. October, November: Game. And all year round, sea and lake fish according to delivery.

And last but not least, a nice choice of house made deserts with the celebrated Profiteroles au chocolat and a pleasant wine list.
