Veysonnaz
Chemin du Son

Until the road opened in 1930, Veysonnaz was only connected to the plain by a mule track, and it took two and a half hours to walk down to work and harvest the vineyards that the inhabitants owned in Vétroz or Ardon. The cattle spent the summer in the mountain pastures far above the village, and it is hard to imagine today how hard life could be for the people of Valais!
