Aria Spring

The Aria Spring, 3 km from Filoti, is a shady oasis at the foot of Mount Zas, the highest point in the Cyclades (altitude 1,004 m). It is the perfect place to meditate while listening to the gurgling of the spring and the birds singing. A little higher up the slope is the cave where, according to legend, Zeus, the supreme god of ancient Greek religion, was born, but it is not worth visiting. The spring is located about a hundred metres from a small dead-end road that leads from Filoti. Please note: do not park at the end of the road, leave the very small space free so that vehicles can turn around.
