Sacred LakeThe Sacred Lake was fed by ephemeral streams flowing from Mount Kynthos. According to legend, it was the fief of the sacred swans of Apollo. It was drained and left dry in 1925 because its stagnant waters were a breeding ground for malaria and it's nowadays the kingdom of lizards.
