Tarabados

Typical of Tinos, ancient pigeon lofts are scattered all over the island, but Tarabados is the place to go to see the most beautiful of them. Whitewashed and magnificently decorated, they date back to the 18th and 19th centuries, pigeon farming having probably been introduced to the island by the Venetians in the 13th-14th centuries.
