Despite all our travels in the Cyclades, there are still a few islands that we have never explored. Folegandros was one of them until 2025...

We finally got to discover it in early May 2025, and we weren't disappointed.

Many travellers say that the Chora of Folegandros is the most beautiful village in the Cyclades. We're tempted to agree!

The rest of the island, which is very arid and not very accessible, offers breathtaking scenery, but it is Chora that really catches our fancy, and we are delighted to share it with you through our panoramas.

The capital of Folegandros, Chora, is just 3km from the port of Karavostasis. The village is perched on a plateau, on the edge of an impressive 200m cliff, and is considered by many visitors to be the most beautiful in the Cyclades.
If you want to feel like you're at the end of the world, take the only road to Folegandros, which runs the length of the island's ridge, and follow it all the way. Just under 8km from Chora, it ends at this small, unremarkable chapel, set in a magnificent landscape of rocky outcrops and sloping terraces, with breathtaking views of the sea and neighbouring islands.
The port of Folegandros, on the east coast of the island, is surrounded by beaches and offers various tourist facilities. The capital, Chora, is 3 km away, perched on a cliff 200 m above sea level.
